Dana Pinnix & Donna Danzy

Wishview Staff
Our Director, Dana Pinnix
Dana Spurlin Pinnix has had her finger on the pulse of Piedmont Global Preschool since 2012, when she joined our staff as a toddler Teacher. Only a couple of years later, her early childhood talent earned the Assistant Director role, and soon after, she was promoted to Director. A passionate advocate for childhood joy and the quality early learning experiences that every child deserves, Dana maintains a personal relationship with every single child and family enrolled at PGP. She works tirelessly to deliver the promise of 5 Star care at PGP, and still finds time to support Wishview and Market St Playpark as well. As a role model, good listener, and a hard worker, Dana is a gem in our school family and a true champion for Greensboro's children!
Dana holds a BA in Sociology and Child Development (UNCG) and is a Level III NC Child Care Administrator. She has also competed training at the McCormick Institute for Early Childhood Leadership. She's an engaging teacher, a skilled photographer, and a great event coordinator. Her favorite people call her "Ms. Dana".

Our Founder, Donna Danzy
The decision to invest in early childhood programs is rooted in Donna Durham Danzy’s goal to help other families and support the well-being of Greensboro’s children. As a young girl, Donna enjoyed planning creative play activities for neighborhood children. In high school and college, she studied child development and education. Landing an afterschool job teaching preschool at the YMCA became a springboard for a life-long career in early childhood leadership.
Donna holds a BA in Elementary Education (UNCG) and is a Level III NC Child Care Administrator. Her 30+ years of early childhood experience includes roles as a nanny, teacher, director, teacher-trainer, preschool quality consultant, and childcare center owner. Donna coordinated state-funded early childhood programs Smart Start and More at Four/NC Pre-K for over ten years. In 2010 she studied Spanish and Preschool Education as a Rotary Scholar in Ecuador. Upon returning from South America, Donna began planning her first childcare venture.
Donna and Dana met as colleagues and life clicked! While raising their own six children, along with numerous foster children, Donna and Dana got married and have dedicated themselves to responding to the need for locally led, high-quality, child development programs. Currently, they proudly operate two 5-star childcare centers, Piedmont Global Preschool (since 2011), Wishview Children's Center (since 2015), and an engaging little children's museum, Market St Playpark (since 2025).
Motivated by a desire to bring globally recognized child development best practices to NC, the couple has traveled to New Zealand to study early care and education. They are planning to one day complete an early childhood education study tour in Reggio Emilia, Italy as well.
